What are sessions?
Sessions are singular purchases you can use towards a tennis program of your choice (sessions are not equivalent to private or group lessons). Every session purchased equals one training session for whichever program you select. By purchasing a session, you have more flexibility and less commitment than purchasing a subscription. You can buy between 1-5 sessions to use on the week chosen. With sessions, you can reschedule within a day's notice or before 9 am the day of. Make up sessions will have to be completed during the chosen week unless the player is sick or your chosen program is cancelled due to rain or weather, in which case we will extend the expiration date. Sessions are more convenient but are also more expensive and include less benefits than our subscription plans.
Why choose a subscription plan?
A subscription plan allows us to plan out a month of training for your child. With this knowledge, we can properly set goals, work on those goals, and evaluate the player’s progress. Subscriptions provide regular training and consistency that allow the players to develop and improve their game and ultimately provide a better outcome. Subscription plans are more cost effective than purchasing individual sessions and can be adjusted monthly if need be. It’s more geared towards committed players that are looking for long term development.
What are the policies for buying sessions?
The policy for buying sessions is simple. You schedule them for whichever weekday/s of the week you would like to attend, (Monday through Thursday for junior development and Monday thru Friday for high performance) then pay for the session/week chosen. All sessions must be paid for prior to attending the session. Any existing player can purchase the amount of weekly sessions desired. However, if you are new to the academy, your child must complete a complimentary assessment lesson first. Sessions must be used during the week chosen. If you have to reschedule a session, you have to notify us a day before or prior to 9 am the day of the session. If you fail to notify us within this time frame, the session will be forfeited and is nonrefundable/nontransferable. We understand that sometimes unexpected illnesses happen and thus, if you rarely cancel outside of the designated time frame due to sickness without a doctor’s note, we will do our best to honor your session; however, we cannot make any guarantees as we need to reduce last minute cancellations because it impacts the number coaches working as well as the splitting of teams which ultimately affects all the players who do show up. Nevertheless, we will honor any sessions with a doctor’s note that are cancelled outside of the designated time frame. If rain or weather conditions cause a session to be cancelled, we will extend the expiration date. Sessions purchased can’t be shared and they can only be used by the student registered for the paid sessions.
What are the policies for subscription plans?
When purchasing subscription plans, you can choose between packages that offer 1, 2, 3, or 4 days a week for junior programs and 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5 days a week for high performance programs. These subscriptions are monthly and auto renewed. Therefore, unless otherwise specified, at the start of a new cycle you will automatically be put back into those days that you chose and your account will be on autopay. If you want to change your subscription prior to a new cycle you may do so with at least 7 days advance notice to the new cycle. Remember, individual sessions within each subscription plan can be changed as long as two things occur: 1. Advance notice of 24 hours is given or 2. Notice before 9 am the day of (your new desired sessions must always occur within the same month of your subscription cycle). Sessions purchased can’t be shared and they can only be used by the student registered for the paid sessions.
How many weeks is a subscription plan?
Our monthly subscriptions plans are based on a 4 week training cycle. You can start on any day within the month and your subscription will start on your first day of attendance and expire 4 weeks later. For example, if you purchase a subscription plan with 12 sessions, you must use them all within 4 weeks of whenever you started.
What if it rains during my subscription plan?
If it rains you can come a day that you are not already attending. You must complete all sessions in your paid 4 week cycle. This means sessions will not be rolled over into the next billing cycle. The ONLY exception is if it rains on the last day of your 4 week cycle. In the rare event that this occurs, we will provide an extra session for use at later time.
What if my child is sick?
You must cancel within 24 hours or before 9 am the day of the session. We understand that sometimes unexpected illnesses happen and thus, if you rarely cancel outside of the designated time frame (later than 9am the day of the session) due to sickness without a doctor’s note, we will do our best to honor your session; however, we cannot make any guarantees as we need to reduce last minute cancellations because it impacts the number coaches working as well as the splitting of teams which ultimately affects all the players who do show up. What if I change my mind?
Individual sessions and monthly subscriptions cannot be refunded but changes can be made for upcoming cycles. If you want to change the level (4, 8, 12, 16, or 20) of your monthly subscription, you can as long as you give notice 7 days prior to your new cycle. You can cancel recurrent subscriptions anytime within your paid cycle. This is not a yearlong commitment and no questions will be asked.
What program is better for my child?
This is dependent on many factors, including but not limited to your child’s age and their skill level. Galindo Tennis has created a “player management system” program. Players will need to have an academy rating on file in order to register for classes and programs. The academy offers an initial complimentary evaluation to properly evaluate and place your child in the right stage of our developmental pathway.
Do you have a drop-in policy?
Drop-ins are not available for classes with full registrations or clinics in order to avoid potential over enrollment or disruption in class continuity and quality. Drop-ins are only available if space is available and cannot be guaranteed. Payment must be taken prior to the start of class. Please call/text the academy management to check for space availability and rates depending on the program if you want to drop-in.
How do I sign in?
A student may enter the academy by going online to the www.galindotennis.com and logging in to their personal account. If you are a new member, you must first create an account. Once you are logged in, the parent/guardian must agree to the liability waiver. Proceed by choosing your desired program and dates. Then you can choose one-time payment or recurring billing for monthly subscriptions.
