Program

The Galindo Tennis Foundational Stage is designed to develop and master fundamental perceptual motor skills, the building blocks of the game, physical activity and child development.

It?s the initial step in our 4 step process methodology and the most important one in the early stages as the lack of this development will put students severally disadvantaged when it comes to the sport and the consequently abilities you build from it.

Through early purposeful play practices, children will develop the sensory and movement abilities to: locomotion & balance, catch, track & intercept, throw, kick and strike, cognitive alertness, and consequently have the opportunity to develop properly and most importantly develop the love for the game.

We have established many exercises and activities that will use a combination of some or all fundamental perceptual motor skills at one time, that are linked with basic tennis skills so the children can transition into the next stages of our pathway system.

Program

The Junior development program is a more advanced program than our foundational programs but still in a fun-filled environment.

It is specific for children ages 6 to 10 years old that want to take their training to a more personalized player development program.

Our pre-registration process compounded with our player assessment allows us to design small groups which take into account each individual level of play.

Ultimately, this gives us the opportunity to personalize each training session based on the players that are enrolled.

Program

This program provides a strategic and innovative approach to the complete development of our athletes. Offering specific training focused on the full development of our players; each and every one of our athletes will receive the teachings and specific on court training that will prepare them for their tennis development and proper progression. Based on their age and ability they will be assigned the proper program and group.

We focus on these main components of training: technical, tactical, physical, and psychological development supported by the ability of our instructors to provide specific instruction methods to provide analysis and feedback to ensure adequate progression. We will cover stroke production, supervised match play, competitive drilling and tactical sessions. Mental training, team bonding and self-motivation sessions will be part of their training sessions. Another aspect is that we aim to prepare our players for competition. The performance gap between the ability to hit shots in practice versus matches is a fundamental barrier every competitive player will have to overcome to realize his or her potential.

This program is offered in different packages and options depending on the objectives of the students after our initial assessment with the family. Also we will adjust the packages and sessions based on the needs of every player. Pricing will vary depending on the amount of sessions or package chosen.

  • OBJECTIVES & BENEFITS

The program’s unique and visionary training is founded upon key areas that we believe are the building blocks to guarantee the proper progression and success of our athletes.

    • Understanding the Athlete - Character Development - is based on the understanding of the athlete’s mind. Once we achieve a player’s trust, this assures a more successful absorption of the learning process.
    • Mental Training - Building A Foundation- the mental maturity and skills that help athletes compete at their best is a must that any athlete has to possess in order to be successful.
    • Conditioning - Physical Excellence– is the foundation needed to achieve peak performance. An athlete’s overall development is measured by their ability to excel in various ways including strength, power, footwork, speed, agility, coordination, and flexibility.
    • Team Communication - Circle Of Trust - is key to have a close and understanding relationship between player, coach and parents in order to facilitate a clear path to the athlete.
    • Nutrition - An Athlete’s Body- has the capability of helping or hindering performance. Athletes must be aware of this and make the proper changes in their diet accordingly in order to perform at their full potential. We will work closely to evaluate and follow the athlete’s proper dietary needs and provide assistance on every specific case.
    • Life Development - Life and Sport - is to give our athletes enjoyment and meaning through sports, and teach them valuable life skills that will aid them throughout their lives. By doing so, we hope to enhance their health, self-confidence, ability to create opportunities and positive values, be self-reliant and independent and adjust to the many challenges that they will have to face on and off the court.
    • Motivation - Inner Motivation- foundation of successful tennis performance, representing one of the game’s foremost psychological skills. Being able to motivate a player and finding their own inner self-motivation is key for the future success of our athletes’ ability to go through moments of doubts and transform that into resilience, a must have in the road to success.
    • Athletic Prevention & Regeneration - Listen to Your Body- The best treatment for athletic injuries is prevention. Athletes today forget about the importance of taking care of their bodies. This includes physical therapy and a well-designed injury prevention program that assures an athlete’s proper growth and development.
