The Galindo Tennis Foundational Stage is designed to develop and master fundamental perceptual motor skills, the building blocks of the game, physical activity and child development. It?s the initial step in our 4 step process methodology and the most important one in the early stages as the lack of this development will put students severally disadvantaged when it comes to the sport and the consequently abilities you build from it.
Through early purposeful play practices, children will develop the sensory and movement abilities to: locomotion & balance, catch, track & intercept, throw, kick and strike, cognitive alertness, and consequently have the opportunity to develop properly and most importantly develop the love for the game.
We have established many exercises and activities that will use a combination of some or all fundamental perceptual motor skills at one time, that are linked with basic tennis skills so the children can transition into the next stages of our pathway system.
All this channeled through enthusiastic and charismatic coaches whose goal is to provide a FUN experience for all of the participants and keep all involved in the activities throughout their time together.
We have created unique tennis learning progressions that not only produce a wonderful learning atmosphere for students but increase the ability to learn properly at every stage of their developmental path.
The sessions will include:
Play time will help them to learn connect with the ball and start engaging in the learning process of the game?s fundamental strokes by building great motor skills.
Shadow tennis helps the students to learn the game by visualization and repetition while learning to use the proper movements of the game. We use creative tools to mimic the games movements and strokes.
